The Drifter

Goldie's sitting on my right foot. Her back is dappled with sunlight coming in through the Heliotrope shading us.

The beach is expansive in front of me. Looking in either direction not single foot print mars the perfect sand. Burms near the waters edge are smooth and bordered with shell beds. The shorebreak is sizeable and inviting.

My friends ankle appears above a small wave. Outside a zodiac cruises past its solo occupants day glo shirt contrasts against the dark blue ocean beyond.

Goldie's passed out now. I'm drinking a beer and there's still no one one the beach.
