Earlier this year while on assignment for FLUX I found myself ankle deep in water at Ke’e Beach, looking towards the Na Pali coastline. I was wearing boots and water filled them, but I was so taken with the view I didn’t notice. That day at Ke’e, there were no people. The flooding earlier in the year had closed the roads, and I was only able to make it out to the end of the road with a help of a friend, a local from Wainiha. This picture captures how I feel when I see the Na Pali coastline, the overwhelming majesty of it, and the entrancing beauty of it’s fingerlike ridges.
